“If an „ordinary” BMW is not enough, Alpina has something for you. The beginnings were humble – a man called Burkard Bovensiepen developed a dual-carb manifold for BMW 1500 Neue Klasse in 1962. This product was so well received on the market, that only three years later a mass production of tuning components for BMW engines was started. Since 1983 Alpina has the right to use its name as a car brand and offers highly modified BMW cars as Alpinas. It would do no justice to Alpina to call it simply a BMW tuner. During the years, this manufacturer introduced many solutions that were ahead of their time, such as the 6-cylinder inline biturbo engine in the B10 BiTurbo model (built on a basis of a BMW E34), twin-turbocharged diesel engine (in E39 series) or an electronically controlled automatic transmission.

The production numbers for Alpina cars are not large, but all of their products are renowned for great performance and unique quality. An Alpina B8 model (E36 series with a 4.6 V8 engine) is a gem in our collection.”
